Do I Need To Purchase A GI For The Free Trial?

No, you don’t need to buy a new gi before commitingWe will provide one for you as a loan for the free trial class.

What Should I Bring To My First Class?​

We ask that you come about 10-15 minutes early so that you can find parking, fill out our waiver for class if you haven't done it online and meet the Professor/Coach. We will also give you a tour of our facilities and fit you for a loaner Gi if you need one. Be sure to bring some water and wear athletic clothes. 

Should I Be Worried If I’m Not In Good Shape?

Absolutely not! Jiu Jitsu is a great way to loose weight and get fit, so you practice Jiu Jitsu to get in shape, not the other way around.

Where Do I Buy A GI?

We sell them at the academy. You can call us for more information or send an email.

I Forgot My GI, Can I Borrow One?

Our loaner gis are typically reserved for our trial students, but we do rent out our loaners for $5 to students who forgot theirs at home.  

Does Every Class Have A Free Trial?

Yes, we allow you to try all of our classes, without obligations. We want you to be sure that's something you want to do before committing. The only thing that we require is that you sign our consent form before you try any class. 

Can I Pay Cash For My Classes?

Yes, you can pay cash for both our classes and merchandise. We do ask that you have a card on file for monthly membership classes, but as long as you make the payment before your due date we will not charge your card. 

Do You Offer Discounts?

We offer discount for family members, first responders and for pre-paid memberships (6 or 12 months paid in full). You can call or send us an email for more information. 

How Can I Cancel My Membership?

Please send us an email at contact@ralphgraciewalnutcreek.com to cancel your membership. We do not charge a cancellation fee but we do ask a 30 days notice before your next billing date. We do not give refunds for prepaid memberships. 

Do We Have To Sign A Long Term Contract?

No! We have month to month memberships that can be canceled at any time via email. We do ask that you notify us 30 days prior to your billing date. 

Can I Get A Refund?

We typically have a no refund policy. However, we do make exceptions and make our decision on a case by case basis. 

What If I Move and Have Already Prepaid For The Year?

We advise against prepaying for memberships unless you are 100% certain that you can make the commitment. We do not offer refunds on any prepaid memberships. 

Can I Put My Membership On Hold?

You can put your membership on hold for $10 a month to hold your place and keep your current benefits. We will need you to send an email requesting to place the account on hold with an intent to return date. Having a returning date is mandatory but if you have to change the date you may do so by sending us an email. 

Where Can I Park?

Please park on the street near our building or you can park at the high school after school hours. You can’t park there when school is in session.

Are Uniforms Mandatory?

Yes, uniforms are mandatory it represents our team and show respect to our leader. This also helps create a sense of organization, professionalism, and unity.
